Kaiser Permanente, the folks who host the annual San Francisco Half Marathon and 5K on Super Bowl Sunday, are putting on a virtual race series called Around the Bay. You have a bit over two months in which you can run 150 miles and obtain the medal of completion. The series goes from October 1 to December 15 – and you need to sign up by December 1 at the latest. On completion, you receive a t-shirt, a medal and other goodies when you sign up. You can run the race in the traditional distances that Kaiser has, namely the half marathon, a 10K or a 5K, but mainly you log miles until you hit 150 and then either stop or keep going until the end date.
