
Every year our brunches are a success thanks to BLFR volunteers who bring our supplies and canopies, and to those who adopt food or beverage tables for member enjoyment. Before we even look for volunteers, we need to have a lead brunch organizer, or a team, to coordinate the activities.
The flyer in the most recent Tides Newsletter explains how our bunches have been organized which means there is no need to reinvent the wheel. Organizers can follow the same format or modify it to work for them so our members can enjoy another summer of brunches.
Rich Tretten has been our brunch organizer since 2018 and will be your mentor. He will
work with the new organizer(s) to review strategies and help with brunch plans for 2026.

Volunteer Positions
Organizer Manage coordinators, caterers, brunch reminders, reimbursement process, and donation
collection. Direct activities at the site and restock supplies (plates, cups, etc.) for the next brunch.
Coordinator #1 Transport and set up / take down 4 canopies and BLFR banner.
Coordinator #2 Transport 7 brunch supply containers, set tables & clean tables after brunch, return
unused supplies to the containers
Coordinator #3 Line trash bins with garbage bags, ask members to take a trash bag home, walk the
site after eash brunch to pick up any litter.
Coordinator #4 Ensures brunch site and tables are clean & ready for each brunch.
