The winter rains brought out the green at Rancho San Antonio Preserve and we have resumed our midweek evening run and walk at this beautiful open space in Cupertino. Rancho San Antonio offers many alternative routes to accommodate runners and walkers of various levels of ability. It includes eye-catching vistas of Silicon Valley and the Bay Area along with open meadows, fields, and wooded trails. The preserve is home to a variety of wildlife and to Deer Hollow Farm, a 160-year-old historic homestead where an array of animals are raised. During April we meet every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. by the stretching bars in the lower parking lot (lot # 6) at Rancho. From May through August we circle up at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. If you have GPS, you can get driving directions to the park by typing “Rancho San Antonio Preserve” into the search engine.
